Typical ADT Water Tanker

• The flow analysis & roll stability was done by Southwest Technologies
• The tank was fitted to a Volvo ADT A40F
• Tank capacity is 35000L
• The tank was fitted with a 80mm Alfa water pump with hydraulic gear driven motor
• A solenoid valve was installed into the hydraulic system to enable the driver to activate the water pump from within the cab
• Hydraulic installation was done by the OEM
• Refilling of the tank has two options:
  • The funnel in front top of the tank
  • Filling pipe at the back
• The filling pipe at the back can only be used from a separate water pump to pump water out of a different water source into the tank. The piping configuration can be changed so that the existing pump can be used to refill the tank from different water sources
• An air actuating valve was fitted to the water pump to enable the drive open and close the water from within the cab
